Noticeboard

After 30 years as a partner at School Lane, Dr Hadley-Brown will be retiring from GP practice at the end of February 2019.  He is, of course, too young to want to retire and will be continuing medical work with the University of Cambridge and NHS England plus occasional GP surgeries. After 30 years it will be a big ‘goodbye’ but we are fortunate to have Dr Laura Smart returning from maternity leave in March, as well as continuing efforts to recruit additional GPs.

Repeat Prescriptions

You can make a repeat prescription request to the surgery in a number of waymulticolour_pillss:

  • online via the link at the top of this page. Please register before using the service, you will need to bring proof of identity and address with you to the surgery when registering.
  • by post or in person by leaving a note or the tear-off slip from your last prescription and ticking the required medication

Prescription requests will not be taken over the telephone, (unless you are housebound) as this can lead to mistakes and blocks the telephone lines.

We require 3 working days if you wish to collect the prescription. You are able to place your request for a repeat prescription 7 days ahead of the due date.

In line with NHS England and CCG advice on good practice and reducing waste across the NHS, we will now be providing our patients with 28 days rather than 56 days repeat medication . Please register for online repeat prescribing to make this process easier for yourselves.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
