Repeat Prescriptions

You can obtain a repeat prescription by leaving a note or the tear-off slip from your last prescription and ticking the required medication. This can be handed in or posted.  We require 2 working days if you wish to collect the prescription from the surgery.  Allow 3 working days if you plan to collect from your designated pharmacy.

After a specified number of repeats you will need to see the doctor to ensure that all is well before further prescriptions are issued.

You may fax your request to us on 01842 751242.

If you would like the surgery to post your prescription to you, please enclose a stamp address envelope.

Prescription requests will not be taken over the telephone, (unless you are housebound) as this can lead to mistakes and blocks the telephone lines.

Medication Review

This is the date that is written at the bottom of your repeat prescription sheet.  It is important that you are seen for a routine appointment before this date so that your medication can continue. Reviews are for your benefit and are extremely important for your continuing care, to ensure no interactions, and that your health is improving.  If your medication is not reviewed by this date it may be stopped.
