|Dr Martin Belsham (m)|
MBBS, DA (uk), DCH, FPCert
'I came to Thetford in 1991. My wife Catrina is a nursing sister at West Suffolk Hospital and we have five children. I like to think i am an old fashioned generalist with interests in family medicine. I gained the post grad cert in substance misuse and after running the specialist service for 15 years now care for those patients in the practice. I sit on the LMC and chair Breckland Alliance Commissioning Group. My interests are eclectic and centered on music and sport, a good book and a pint of home brew.'
|Dr Jon Bryson (m)|
MBBS, MRCGP, FPCert
Born in Liverpool and qualifying from Westminster Medical School, London, in 1985.
I have always been interested in general practice, but completed further training in obstetrics, paediatrics and cardiology before deciding to move permanently to Norfolk in 1992. East Anglia is a delightful place to live, and Thetford is a constantly changing, sometimes challenging but always a rewarding community to work within.
At School Lane Surgery we try to remain true to the values of family practice whilst adapting to the real and diverse pressures that shape change within our society. It is these changes and the need to improve with them that have nurtured an interest in primary care development, I believe we can work better within the NHS and want to develop improved care specific to our local community.
Liz and I married just before moving to Thetford. We have two children, born bred and educated locally that have now flown the nest. We all enjoy a quieter, more rural, outdoors living, but are able to escape to the “big city” when desired. This helps to confirm the reason for our move to East Anglia, whilst ensuring that we still do understand and appreciate the more cosmopolitan.
