Easter Opening Details

As Easter approaches we want to ensure you’re well-informed about important details during the long Easter weekend.  Below, you’ll find our opening times for School Lane Surgery and guidance on accessing medical assistance when the surgery is closed.

School Lane Surgery Opening Times

Please refer to the following schedule for our opening times over Easter. If you require medical assistance outside of our operating hours:

  • In case of emergency, dial 999.
  • For Mental Health Crisis support, dial 111 and select Option 2 for urgent assistance.
  • Contact NHS 111 or visit www.111.nhs.uk for general medical advice. Click HERE

Local pharmacies will remain open and can provide clinical advice and over-the-counter medicines for minor ailments such as coughs, colds, sore throats, and aches.

Over Easter the surgery will be open:

  • Monday 25th March – Open as usual
  • Tuesday 26th March – Open as usual
  • Wednesday 27th March – Open as usual
  • Thursday 28th March – Open as usual
  • Friday 29th March – Good Friday – CLOSED
  • Saturday 30th March – CLOSED
  • Sunday 31st March – Easter Sunday – CLOSED
  • Monday 1st April – Easter Monday – CLOSED
  • Tuesday 2nd April – Open as usual

(Please note, at the Healthy Living Centre, the surgery is closed daily from 13:00 to 14:00 for home visits and lunch. On Tuesday at School Lane, we are closed from 13:00 to 14:30 for staff training).

Be Easter Ready

Now is a great time to review your medicine cabinet and ensure you have necessary supplies. A well-stocked cabinet can help you manage common illnesses over the Bank Holiday Weekend. Consider having these items on hand or ensuring they are within expiry:

  • A first-aid kit with essentials such as bandages, plasters, thermometer, antiseptic, eyewash solution, sterile dressings, medical tape, and tweezers.
  • Pain relief options like aspirin, paracetamol, and ibuprofen.
  • Cold remedies for flu-like symptoms.
  • Anti-diarrhoea and constipation relief.
  • Throat lozenges and antihistamines for allergies.
  • Indigestion relief products.
