PANORAMIC Trial

Along with many other GP Practices across the UK, we have been taking part in the “Platform Adaptive trial of Novel antivirals for early treatment of covid-19 In the Community (PANORAMIC)” trial which rapidly assesses a range of purpose-designed antiviral treatments which could help clinically vulnerable people with COVID-19 in the community recover sooner, prevent the need for hospital admission and ease the burden on the NHS.

These antiviral treatments are intended for use in the very early stages of infection, by people in the community with COVID-19 who are at higher risk of complications. Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria can sign-up to take part in the study. Individuals can join the study directly and there is no need to be referred by your GP.

You will be eligible if:

  • You are currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms beginning in the last 5 days;

AND

  • You have had a positive PCR or Lateral Flow test for COVID-19;
